How to improve the work efficiency of double glass reactor

Glass reactor is a pressure vessel widely used in petroleum, chemical, pesticide, pharmaceutical, food and other industries to complete the processes of sulfurization, nitration, hydrogenation, hydrocarbonation, polymerization, condensation and other processes. With the development of science and technology, the development of the glass reactor industry is gradually accelerating, the types and functions are increasing, and the application is wide. Among them, the double-layer glass reaction kettle can perform stirring reaction under normal or negative pressure conditions according to the requirements of use, and can carry out the reflux and distillation of the reaction solution.
In the course of work of the double-layer glass reactor, how to improve the work efficiency, we have summarized several aspects based on experience:
 
1. Thermal insulation medium
Because the thickness of the interlayer in the middle of the jacketed glass reaction kettle is small, it has poor thermal insulation performance. In the process of using high temperature and low temperature, it is necessary to use a thermal insulation material to protect the kettle body. The body of the reaction kettle and the liquid-conducting pipe need to be wrapped with insulation material, and the thickness of the insulation layer must be paid attention to ensure a good insulation effect.
 
2. Selection of temperature control medium
According to the required reaction temperature, temperature-controlling media with different properties are selected as the heat propagation medium for the reaction. For low temperature, choose ice-ethanol bath; for normal temperature, choose water bath; for high temperature, choose oil bath.
 
When using low or high temperature, pay attention to selecting the appropriate medium, the key is viscosity. If the viscosity is too large, the circulating pump may not be able to move, and the circulating effect of the medium is not good enough to achieve the required temperature control effect. The high-power circulating pump was rashly replaced, and the pressure of the pressurized medium was too high, which easily damaged the double-layer glass reaction kettle lining and the reaction kettle broke. Usually manufacturers will choose the corresponding heating medium according to their products.
 
3. Storage location
The jacketed glass reactor is used as a reaction amplification test device. The volume is usually 50-150L. The volume can be customized in specific cases. Therefore, the scale of the test cannot be underestimated. Since the kettle body is made of glass, stainless steel is the bracket, and the legs are casters, the storage location needs to be carefully selected.
 
Although the casters can be fixed with foot clasps, the stability is not strong. Therefore, pay attention to choose a flat place during storage, keep it flat, and keep the mechanical stirring center consistent with the reaction kettle, otherwise it will be easily shaken and unstable, resulting in a safety accident. The height of the double-layer glass reaction kettle is about 1.5m. With the straight condenser tube, the overall reaction kettle is about 2m. General floor ventilation kitchens cannot be placed, but must be placed in a well ventilated location.
 
4. Notes on feeding
The double-layer glass reaction kettle is an independent reaction rack. Unlike an industrial reaction kettle, which has a reaction bench and a small feeding port is reserved, the feeding process is difficult.
 
The double-layer glass reaction kettle should not be too large at one time, and it should be evaluated according to the reaction temperature, reflux and pressure, and a suitable amount of material should be added. Generally, it should not exceed 2/3 of the kettle body.
 
Suggestions: Solid reagents are recommended to be prepared as solutions to be added to the kettle; liquid reagents can be pumped into the kettle through the matching water pump or oil pump. In particular, when the reaction material is added to the reaction kettle through a constant-pressure dropping funnel or a common dropping funnel, a corresponding moving ladder is required to allow the worker to add the test material.
