The type of reactor determines its different methods of use and maintenance. We will briefly introduce the use of glass reactors today.

Glass reactor use method

1. Check that the power supply voltage is consistent with the specifications provided on the machine nameplate.
2. Plug in the power plug, turn on the power switch on the inverter, and use the speed knob to select the appropriate speed (the speed will be displayed in the display window).
3. The flow of material and the power of the motor speed may resonate at a certain point. Please change the speed of the motor to avoid resonance.
4. After the glass reactor stir bar is installed, it must be rotated by hand. Pay attention to whether the concentricity (perpendicularity) is good. If the heart (vertical degree) is not good, the heavy clamp should be loosened. Adjust slowly and slowly.
5. Adjust the wrench with a stir bar. The stir bar can be moved up and down as needed. The maximum moving distance is 50mm.
6. If the seal performance in the reactor is found to be degraded, check the PTFE sealing plug between the stir bar and the reactor lid.
7. The glass parts of the reactor are all made of GG3.3 low expansion coefficient and high temperature resistant borosilicate glass. The maximum temperature that the glass material can withstand is 280 °C, and the lowest temperature tolerated: -80 °C.
8. The inlet and outlet of the interlayer on the glass reactor can be heated by the hot oil. The coolant can be used for low temperature reaction. If it is heated by steam, it should not exceed 0.5K-1K. (Note: Try not to use pressure steam to heat).
9. When the test is carried out at low temperature, the discharge valve at the bottom will be frosted. When using this valve, it must be partially thawed before use to prevent the glass from being broken.
10. If the material of the glass reactor is granulated, it may remain on the PTFE piston of the valve when it is discharged. The airtightness will be affected when it is used again. Be sure to clean and re-use each time after discharging.
12. The heating of the glass reactor reactor should be carried out by heating with a high temperature circulator. The refrigeration should be cooled by a low temperature circulator.
13. The glass reactor reactor is first charged with the reaction material before being heated or cooled. Do not allow material in the reactor, heating or cooling in the interlayer.
14. The glass reactor reactor needs to be heated or cooled. It should be heated or circulated by high temperature circulator or low temperature circulator. Do not heat or recycle first or recirculate.
15. The glass reactor reactor needs to be cooled at a high temperature. First, the high temperature circulator heating switch is turned off (the circulation switch is kept open), water or oil is added, and the temperature in the circulator is neutralized to gradually cool down. Do not drain the heated material in the reactor interlayer, and circulate new substances to directly cool down.
