Vacuum pump maintenance
Vacuum pump is a necessary instrument for glass reactor, short-path distillation, rotary evaporator, vacuum drying oven, freeze dryer, and other equipment.
The vacuum pump equipment produced by ZZKD laboratory equipment manufacturers includes rotary vane vacuum pumps, circulating water vacuum pumps, and diaphragm vacuum pump equipment.
Below I will briefly introduce some maintenance methods for the vacuum pumps we often use.
1. Check the oil level frequently. If it does not meet the requirements, adjust it to meet the requirements. When the vacuum pump is running, the oil level is to the middle of the oil level.
2. Frequently check the oil quality. If you find that the oil is bad, replace it with new oil in time to ensure that the vacuum pump works normally.
3. The oil change period is considered according to the actual use conditions and the ability to meet the performance requirements and is determined by the user. As usual, the new vacuum pump, when removing clean and dry gas, it is recommended to change the oil once in about 100 hours of work. After the ferrous metal powder is not seen in the oil, the oil change period can be appropriately extended in the future.
4. Under normal circumstances, the vacuum pump should be overhauled after 2000 hours of work, check the aging of the rubber seal, check whether the exhaust valve disc is cracked, and clean up the dirt deposited on the valve disc and exhaust valve seat. Clean the entire vacuum pump, such as the rotor, rotor, spring, etc. It is usually washed with gasoline and dried. After cleaning the rubber parts, wipe them with a dry cloth. Handle with caution when cleaning the device.
5. Conditionally clean the pipe as well to ensure a smooth pipeline.
6. Trial operation should be performed after re-installation. Normally, it must be run for 2 hours without oil and change the oil twice, because a certain amount of volatile matter will be left in the vacuum pump during cleaning. After normal operation, put it back into normal work.
7. Inspect the vacuum pump pipeline and joints for signs of looseness. Turn the vacuum pump by hand to see if the vacuum pump is naive.
8. Add bearing lubrication oil to the bearing body. Observe that the oil level should be at the middle line of the oil mark, and the lubricant should be replaced or supplemented in time.
9. Unscrew the drain plug of the vacuum pump body, and fill the drain water (or slurry).
10. Close the gate valve and outlet pressure gauge and inlet vacuum gauge of the outlet pipe.
11. Jog the motor to see if the motor turns accurately.
12. Start the motor. When the vacuum pump is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and an inlet vacuum pump. After it shows proper pressure, gradually open the gate valve and check the load of the motor at the same time.
13. Try to control the flow and lift of the vacuum pump within the range indicated on the label to ensure that the vacuum pump operates at the highest compliance point to obtain the maximum energy-saving results.
14. Vacuum pump During operation, the bearing temperature must not exceed 35C, and the maximum temperature must not exceed 80C.
15. If the vacuum pump is found to be very loud, stop it immediately to check the reason.
16. Vacuum pump To stop using, close the gate valve, pressure gauge, and then stop the motor.
17. Vacuum pump In the first month of operation, the oil is replaced after 100 hours, and every 500 hours thereafter, the oil is changed once.
18. Adjust the packing gland frequently to ensure that the drip in the stuffing room is normal (it is better to leak out).
19. Regularly check the wear of the shaft sleeve, and it should be replaced in time when the wear is heavy.
20. Vacuum pump When it is used in the cold winter season, after stopping, the drain plug on the bottom of the pump body needs to be unscrewed to clear the medium. Prevent frost cracking.
21. If the vacuum pump is not used for a long period of time, the pump must be completely disassembled, the water must be wiped off, the rotating parts and joints must be coated with grease, and stored properly.
